Cage Warriors have confirmed they will be heading back to Manchester on Thursday July 25.
The show was announced just one day after the UFC confirmed their return to the city with UFC 304, which will take place at the Co-op Live Arena, in Manchester, on Saturday July 27.
Whenever the UFC make the journey to the UK, Cage Warriors usually put on a show the same week and in the same in city to really add to fight fan’s fight week experience. Hours after the official UFC announcement, social media speculation started with fans eagerly awaiting to see Cage Warriors would announce they too, would be making the trip to Manchester that week.
Taking to social media today (April 25) the announcement many had been waiting for, finally came. The promotion wrote:

The BEC Arena has become a of a regular feature on the Cage Warriors calendar, with the promotion having last travelled there in March of this year with Cage Warriors 168. Every fight night in Manchester seems to deliver and 168 was no different. In the main event, Andy Clamp was crowned the new Light Heavyweight champion with a third-round stoppage against Matthew Byfield.
Luke Riley once again delivered a stunning performance when he took on his toughest challenge to date against the vastly more experienced John De Jesus. Riley is a regular feature inside on the promotion’s Manchester cards and has delivered some of the most memorable bouts in recent memory, including his fight of the year against Alexander Loof and his Cage Warriors 152 bout against Kallum Parker.
In the featured preliminary bout, Liam Gittins successfully defended his title for the first time against the rising prospect Roberto Hernandez. After a well fought affair, Gittins pulled away in the fifth and managed to tie up a rear naked choke in the fifth and final round.
There have been no bouts confirmed for the upcoming Manchester show at the time of writing.
