Dumitru Girlean and Cameron Else caused upsets in the main and co main event in what was a big night at Cage Warriors 171.

In the highly anticipated return, Cage Warriors headed back to Scotland in an event filled with many a Scottish talent.

Chris 'The Bad Guy' Bungard started his main event bout against Girlean in good form, comfortably taking the first round. However, the tide quickly turned in the second when Girlean tied up a guillotine up against the fence, forcing Bungard to tap.

It was not to be for Reece McEwan as he dropped an extremely tight split decision loss to Cameron Else in the co-main event. After being dropped in the first, the Scotsman rallied in a close second round but Else continued with his impressive form to secure the decision win.

Sean Clancy Jr. showed once again that he is one of the top prospects in the UK with a second round submission win against Lucas Rodrigues.

Aidan Stephen looked extremely dangerous in his Bantamweight debut with a unanimous decision against Gianluca Scottoli.

After looking very strong in his return, Scott Malone succumb to third round finish against Nicloas Leblond.

Keir Harvie picked up where he left off in the yellow gloves with a unanimous decision win against Kaique Modesto.

In the preliminary portion of the card, Paull McBain looked impressive as Bellator veteran Alberth Dias was pulled our of the contest by his corner in between the second and third round.

Jordan Little made the perfect start to professional life in an extremely entertaining bout against promotional debutant Jordan Stronge. Both men lit up the Braehead Arena with some slick striking, with Little taking the split decision.

Iain Postlethwaite picked up another big win against Pav Sahota. The Scotsman is currently riding a four fight win streak, looking better on each outing. The bout marked his first shot on a major promotion, with 'The Ferret' seizing the opportunity with both hands and claiming his biggest scalp to date.

It was also confirmed that the promotion will make the trip back to Scotland on September 7, on a card which will feature the highly anticipated Prize Fighter series.
