Not one to let a loss set him back, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion will return to the Octagon against Khalil Rountree on June 29 at UFC 303.

The promotion officially announced the bout across their social media channels, in what will be a welcome addition to the International Fight Week card, which is set to be headlined by the monster Welterweight clash between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.

Having spent 15 months on the side line, Hill is clearly looking to make up for lost time as he will make the walk just two months after his UFC 300 bout.

Hill headlined the monumental card as he looked to regain the title he relinquished following his achilles injury. Standing in his way that night was the formidable Alex Pereira. The hard hitting Brazilian once again showed his phenomenal power and caught Hill with a left uppercut in the first round, of which he followed up with a barrage of heavy ground strikes to retain the Light Heavyweight belt.

Following the loss, Hill took to social media to

"Oh well, it is the game we play, got caught. For anyone that care, I'm good. I am well. We are still doing our thing."

He continued "We just build and come right back."

Rountree is currently in the best form of his career as he continues to work his way up the 205lbs rankings. After losing to Marcin Prachnio at UFC 257, Rountree flipped his struggling form on its head and is currently riding a 5 fight win streak, which includes wins against Modestas Bukauskas, Karl Roberson, Dustin Jacoby, Chris Daukaus and Anthony Smith, with four of those victories coming inside the distance.

In his last contest, 'The War Horse' stopped vastly experienced Smith in the third round of their bout, in brutal fashion.

Both Hill and Rountree are extremely heavy hitters, with 16 KO/TKO stoppages between them. Fans could be in for a striking war when the two meet.

The International Fight Week card always delivers and it is looking like UFC 303 will be no different with, alongside McGregor vs Chandler, a number of exciting match ups already confirmed including Cub Swanson vs Andre Fili, Michelle Waterson-Gomez vs Gillian Robertson and Joe Pyfer vs Marc-Andre Barriault all already announced for the card, set for the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.
